Tommie A. Henderson

Tommie is the founder of the New Consortium of Law and Business. He also founded Tennessee’s first and largest charter school, Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering (MASE). He received his Masters of Arts in Teaching from the University of Memphis and his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from MIT. He will continue his education this fall at Harvard University seeking his doctorate degree. He is a founding member of the Independent Charter School Leaders Association (ICLSA) in Memphis. He believes that “this is the students’ school. Created for them. Customizable by them. And it will be successful because of them."

Glenda A. Adams

Glenda A. Adams is the Assistant District Attorney at the District Attorney’s Office in Memphis. She received her doctorate at the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville, and her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Memphis. Glenda is also a product of Memphis schools, graduating from East High School along with Tommie and Celika. She knew she wanted to become involved with the New Consortium of Law and Business after hearing Tommie Henderson explain his concept for the school.

Taj E. Harris

Taj is currently working on an advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Memphis after having attended the University of Michigan (Home of the Wolverines). While he’s not studying, he acts as the Chief Financial Officer at HBC Enterprises, Inc.He became involved with the New Consortium of Law and Business through his long-time mentor, Tommie Henderson. After being a student of Tommie Henderson’s at East High School, he went on to work with him at MASE where he was made aware of and began collaborating on the New Consortium of Law and Business.

Celika M. Caldwell

Celika is the Marketing Manager at FedEx Services Product Marketing in Memphis. Her accomplished professional and educational career reflects 15 years of leadership in strategic and tactical marketing experience. She received her Master of Business Administration from Stanford University and her Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at MIT.“I believe the future pupils of the New Consortium of Law and Business are students that are self directed, motivated, brave, and curious. They are students that treasure the ability to access teachers and subject matter experts."

Willie T. Patrick III

Willie is a senior associate accountant at Robert Half International in the Bay Area of California. Previous to this position he worked at KPMG, LLP in Chicago, IL for four years. He graduated from University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. He is a member of the National Association of Black Accountants, American Institution of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois Certified Public Accountants Society.He believes that, “Charter schools give children opportunities that may not be available to them through other systems."

Cherelle R. Walls

Cherelle is a Process Technician at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. She graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a BS in Chemical-Biological Engineering in 2008. She is a member of the National Society of Black Engineers, American Chemical Society, American Institute of Chemical Engineers and Gates Millennium Scholars.She became involved with the New Consortium of Law and Business through Tommie Henderson. She felt it was time that she gave something back to Memphis, the community that has given her so much.
